Capolavoro Neapolitan Mastiffs

After previously living in Little River Victoria we are now residing in Karratha Western Australia.

My first encounter with a Neapolitan Mastiff was when I was living in Airley Beach and saw a dog sitting outside of the windowed gym looking in off and on whimpering pitifully waiting for his owner to complete his workout. On his owners return the devotion and bond this dog expressed for his master infatuated me. I approached the owner and asked "what type of dog is that?" Such a familiar saying to us now, I often wonder how many times he had been asked that exact same question.

Following that, a love affair had begun with this what I had been told by that same owner was a Neapolitan Mastiff and after travelling up to NSW and contacting breeders of the breed there and in Victoria we finally brought home Enzo in 2001 from Maggiormente Kennels, Rylstone.

Since then we have acquired a girl Flora.

We would sincerely like to thank Jack and Brenda Mclean of Castleduart kennels who have been outstanding mentors for us forever educating us with their wisdom and showing us a genuine concern for this special breed which we will be eternally grateful for. Jack is known as a "walking dog encyclopedia"

We have the upmost admiration for the Neapolitan Mastiff and respect and love them and do not want to see the breed ruined by inappropriate breeding therefore we endeavour to breed for soundness, temperament and type with our focus predominately on soundness.

Our dogs can be seen in the show ring, but more importantly to us they are very much a part of our family - in fact Ario and Enzo feature in our official wedding photos. We are looking forward to spending many more decades educating ourselves about this fascinating breed of dog and we hope to share many of the extraordinary moments we have had from the pleasure of owning this breed with those who are looking at owning their own Neapolitan Mastiff.
