We work closely alongside many agencies
(both NGO’s and government based
organizations) and have auspiced a number of
projects on behalf of interagency groups in
the Queanbeyan Community.
At present LRC is involved in two major
projects, which routinely require us to use
these connections to obtain appropriate
support for peoples needs, and to receive
referrals from those agencies for people
whom we are equipped to help

Nurturing Womanhood
Nurturing Womanhood is a self esteem
building program for women (and their pre
school age children, where applicable) who
may be facing difficulties from a range of
different sources. The program primarily
involves beauty and self care activities, as
well as folk art and craft activities, and
is supported by a child care program.

St Benedicts Group
www.stbenedictscdc.org.au “St Benedicts” refers to a project conducted
jointly by the local Anglican, Baptist,
Catholic and Uniting Church congregations
aimed at supporting people facing
significant levels of difficulty in their
lives, including homelessness, Health &
Mental Health issues, Substance abuse and
other problems. We provide advocacy and
case work, day time meals, overnight
shelter, Day time accommodation and this in
supportive and safe environments. LRC
provides both Financial administration and
volunteer support in these activities,
St Benedicts also works in close cooperation with
HOME in Queanbeyan
