![]() December 1986 - October 1998. ![]() My boy Milo. I got him from the Cat Haven in November '98. ![]() ![]() Thank you, Turbo, for your Scratch of Approval. Say Turbo, Sage and Kricket: "We especially liked the page all about your kitty, and agree 100% with your views on spaying/neutering and keeping kitties indoors where it's always safe." Lecture Number One - I hate what some breeders have done to cats, dogs, ponies, rabbits, the list goes on and on, in the name of fashion. I hate breeders who create little dogs with noses so snub they can't breath. I hate breeders who create Siamese cats with heads so sleek the skulls aren't big enough to hold their brains. I hate breeders who create little birds with feathers in their eyes so they can't see and feather leggings that prevent them from walking. Dachsund cats with legs so short they can barely stand up. All in the name of fashion.
Lecture Number Two - Be a responsible cat owner. Unless you're a registered breeder, have your cats, male and female, desexed. It is not cruel to deny a male cat the chance to Tom around - that is just stupid male anthropomorphism. And a female cat doesn't need to have had a litter before being desexed. Don't let your cats out at night - keep them locked in. It's safer for them and a damn sight safer for the wild population of birds and native animals. Put a bell on your cat's collar. Better still, have two collars with two different sounding bells and alternate them. Cats soon learn how to mute the bell on their collars or walk without making them jingle. Despite centuries of domestication, cats are still predators. Enough of the lectures! On to the fun stuff! ![]() ![]()
