WHERE HAVE THEY ALL GONE

It's interesting to note where some of the descendents of Thomas Page and Sarah Robbins relocated to when they left Massachusetts. All 9 children of Thomas Page and Sarah Robbins were born in Walpole, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts. Of the 9 children, only 2 actually stayed in the town of Walpole where they were born. Another child lived close by in Stoughton, MA. and the other remaining children relocating out of state.   

The Original 9 Children:

Thomas Page Jr. married Elizabeth Allen and relocated to Keene, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire.

Sarah Page married Ebenezer Rhodes and relocated to Marlborough, Cheshire Co., Hew Hampshire.

Asa Page married Susannah Rhodes and appears to have remained in Walpole, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts all his life.

Charles Page married 1) Elizabeth Withington, 2) Mary Wales 3) Elizabeth Henery and appears to have been in Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts most of his life.

Mary Page married Benjamin Wells and appears to have relocated to New York.

Ebenezer Page married Lydia Peck and relocated to Keene, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire.

Joseph Page married Lois Turner and appears to have remained in Walpole, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts all his life.

Anne Page married Timothy Ellis and relocated to Keene, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire but at some point in time relocated back to Dedham, Norfolk Co., MA.

Libbeus Page married Susannah Wales, younger sister of Mary Wales(?) and relocated to Marlborough, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire.

Why the majority of sons and daughters of Thomas and Sarah relocated to New Hampshire is unclear to me. All the sons fought in the War of Independence and possibly they were given land in return for the military service? Possibly they relocated to New Hampshire because this was cheap land at the time. I just don't know.

Where some of the other families relocated to.

It appears this is where people stayed from the later 1700's until the mid 1850's or possibly slightly earlier. Of course there were those who relocated locally. Such as Walpole to Foxborough, Sharon to Franklin, Milton to Dorchester etc. etc.

Pamela "Millie" Page (Asa, Thomas) and Lewis Clarke went to Searsmont, Waldo Co., Maine.

Hannah Page (Asa, Thomas) and Robert Perrigo went to Searsmont, Waldo Co., Maine where Hannah died. Robert Perrigo relocated to Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Lucy Page (Asa, Thomas) and Dwelly Lincoln went to Searsmont, Waldo Co., Maine.

Sally Page (Asa, Thomas) and Luther Smith went to Searsmont, Waldo Co., Maine.

Permilia Page (Charles, Thomas) and her husband Samuel Talbot went to Lafayette, New York and then to Pompey Hill, Onondaga Co., New York.

Betsey [Ford] Page, wife of Samuel Wales Page ( Samuel, Charles, Thomas ) relocated with their children to St. Louis, St. Louis Co., Missouri. It appears Samuel Wales Page did not go to Missouri, but rather he stayed in Massachusetts. 

John Brooks Page (Samuel, Charles, Thomas) and his wife Susannah Cain went to New York, New York and then to Hoboken, New Jersey. Upon the death of his wife Susannah, John remarried to the widow of his cousin William Page Jr. She was Nancy Chandler [Bessey] Page. 

Charles Curtis Page (Samuel, Charles, Thomas) and his wife Mary Copeland went to Lincoln, Lincoln Co., Kansas.

Moses Curtis Page (Samuel, Charles, Thomas) was my GGGrandfather. He and his wife Hannah Orton went to Saline, Salina Co., Kansas and then on to Pueblo Colorado. 

George Lewis Page (Moses Curtis, Samuel, Charles, Thomas) and his wife Susan Morrow Lockard went to Salina, Salinae Co., Kansas. This family relocated to Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. In the early 1900's they headed North into many parts of Southern, Central and Northern California.

Henry Ward Page (Moses Curtis, Samuel, Charles, Thomas) and his wife Mary Elizabeth Boss relocated from Salina, Saline Co., Kansas to Buffalo, Harper Co., Oklahoma..

Clarence Augustus Page (Moses Curtis, Samuel, Charles, Thomas) my GGrandfather was born in Stoughton Norfolk Co., Massachusetts. He went to Saline, Salina Co., Kansas with his parents where he later married Celia Latty. Clarence and Celia relocated to Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. This is were Celia Latty died. Clarence then married Althea Maria Kneeland and later relocated on to Fresno Co., California.

Elisha Wightman Page (Elisha, William, Charles, Thomas) and his wife Anna Maria Williams relocated to Illinois and later on to the Dakota's. Some of the descendants of this couple have relocated to Oregon, Montana and Washington State. 

Joseph Milner Page (Elisha, William, Charles, Thomas) relocated to Jersey Co., Illinois His descendants later relocating to Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois.

Charles Page (William, Charles, Thomas) From his fathers probate records, it states that Charles went to Placerville, California.

Cyrus Page (William, Charles, Thomas) From his fathers probate records, it states that Cyrus is said to be residing in the state of New York.

James Davis Page (Daniel, Joseph, Thomas) and his wife Julia A. Kinney went to San Francisco, California. 

Emily Josephine Page (Daniel, Joseph, Thomas) and her husband Benjamin H. Freeman went to San Francisco, California.

William Warren Page (Asa, Oliver, Asa, Thomas) and his wife Lillian M. Brown went to Central California.

Everett Asa Page (Charles Wesley, Asa, Oliver, Asa, Thomas) and his wife Erdie A. Lewis went to Mahoning Co., Ohio. I believe some of their descendants settled in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
