Location
Nannup was first settled between 1850 and 1860 by graziers on large pastoral leases. It is a small town with 500 residents. The Blackwood river runs through the town and there are marked walks along the riverside.
Nannup is 282km south of Perth and approximately 3.5 hours driving time.
During August each year a Tulip Festival is held in the town hall. Especially Tulips farm is open July 24 to September 14 each year where you can buy potted or cut tulips and walk across the field to enjoy the massed display. Nannup's winter climate is ideal for the tulips to grow although they need to be lifted in summer and stored in cool rooms as the ground is too warm.
