Hopetoun Ablution Mural

In January and February 2006 I worked with the local community on the Hopetoun mural .
The mural was painted on compressed sheeting and consisted of 10 sections each taking up one wall. We worked on the panels in the local hall and they were assembled onto the toilet block when completed.
The theme for the mural was Hopetoun lifestyle and environment.
1. Compass, wind, mountains and shells

2. Cockatoos, mountains and bushland

3. Surfer on beach

4. Fauna, mountains and bushland

5. Flora, fauna, mountains and bushland

The Hopetoun Ablution Mural was coordinated by Sue Riseborough of the Hopetoun Progress Association and sponsored by Catalyst (Community Arts Network WA), Arts WA, Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council, Rapley Wilkinson, Esperance Freightlines, Johns building Supplies and Bill Auburn - Hopetoun Builder.
A total of 44 people worked on the mural.
