Here we are 25 years later and screening Star Wars episode 2 This time at the Civic Cinema.

The Civic Cinema continued operating up until 2002 when it was "put on hold" following the new cinema complex development. Although the Civic was a makeshift cinema , it filled a gap in the towns entertainment , giving people a chance to see films on the big screen and I think Chris did a mighty job keeping it going sacrificing most of his spare time to the cinema.

Summer of 2002 saw the opening of a brand new 3 screen cinema complex called the Fenwick 3 . This complex built from the ground up by a local consortium, boasting the latest comforts and technology this was biggest change in Esperance cinema since the Drive In's first opened.

The Fenwick 3 screens 7 days per week and offers first day release films with quality presentation with comfortable seating , something the Civic Center lacked badly. This complex has brought city style cinema to our town.

September 2003 I joined the team at Fenwick 3 Cinemas. It was great to be back in action again, but this time with the most state of art equipment . Cinema has alway been a major part of my life , a part that seems to never leave a dedicated cinema person . I am now entering my third decade of cinema with many memories of the changes that have taken place over that time, Putting these memories together in this website was one way to share them with others who also share the same passion with big screen entertainment. Anyone who has suitable photos or information is welcome to contact me and I will post it on this site.
