ESPERANCE DRIVE IN
Esperance drive in was built in 1966 By a local consortium , it had a 355 car capacity . Although very little was done to the cinema , it served the town well until 1986 when it was closed.
The first operator was Wally Churchill from Norseman WA.Wally ran it right up till his death .Bill and Eddie Lance then operated the cinema till 1984.I came onto the scene and ran It for the last time in 1986.
Screen was 70 foot by 34 foot and tower mounted..
Projection room and kiosk all under one roof , seen here getting some repairs in time for the last summer screening.
