DVAG were at the Redcliffe on the Murray Sunday 7 April 2013 raising awareness about Domestic Violence in support of White Ribbon. Jonny Taylor played and released his new single “You’ll Never Break Me”. This song tells the shocking but true story of an amazing woman who survived against the odds and has turned her life around after domestic violence. Jonny’s lyrics create images of love, passion, and unknown addictions that bring the unforeseeable fate of what was ultimately a failed Romeo & Juliet setting in the aggressors mind. Intertwining this tragic circumstance with an upbeat tune the song concludes with a powerful message of hope . Jonny is teaming up with local domestic violence organisations including DVAG to promote prevention and raise awareness of Domestic Violence. We hope to see Jonny support DVAG in the near future!  Proceeds of the sale of the single will be donated to Pat Thomas House to fund counselling for the children, all funds raised yesterday from raffles and auctions will also go to the refuge for the same purpose.

DVAG were there on the day selling White Ribbon Merchandise to raise awareness. Follow this link for more photos

White Ribbon thanks Kim and Rhonda from the Domestic Violence Action Group in Mandurah who visited the Sydney office of White Ribbon Foundation with $10,000 of sponsorship/support from the 2012 local campaigns.  The donation was graciously accepted by CEO Libby Davies.

If you’d like to make a donation, go to www.whiteribbon.org.au/donate. Your donation will play a vital part in supporting White Ribbon's primary prevention work - in particular the Ambassador Program and initiatives in communities, schools, universities, workplaces and sporting codes.

In the beginning a collective group of individuals from various community agencies in the Peel District (Western Australia) had a shared vision and a goal: to stop Domestic Violence in the home and in the community.

A forum was held at Peel Health Campus in conjunction with Pat Thomas House, responding to the needs of the public and domestic violence cases who present at the Emergency Department.

From there we formed what is now known as: The Trustee for Domestic Violence Action Group (DVAG) – ‘The Committee for White Ribbon Day’.
