CLASSICAL GUITARS FOR SALEclick here to return to main instrument sale page.
This page lists just classical guitars available.
All prices are inclusive of GST. I am able to organise freight, if required. Cost varies with destination. For schools wishing to order, I am able to provide ABN and invoice the school.
Instruments listed here are either brand new, brand new but a "second" (i.e. not in perfect condition), or repaired.
Below are a list of quality Classical Guitars that I am very pleased to be able to offer for sale. I have selected these myself, and regard them all as great value for their price, and great guitars in their own right.
Katoh Classical Guitars
I have a number of Katoh Classical guitars as shown below. These are all brand new, but may be seconds, with very minor blemishes or marks. Simply amazing guitars for the price.
Katoh KSFEQ Flamenco Guitar
This guitar is brand new, in perfect condition. It's an older model, as it does not have the tuner built into the preamp.
Solid select spruce top, Cypress Honduras mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard. Fishman prefix pro blend peamp system. Internal microphone and pizzo pickup system. 650mm string length.
The action is still about what you"d want for a classical guitar, and perhaps a little high for a flamenco, but I don't intend to change this unless requested by the purchaser. I'd suggest it to be taken to some who can set this up to ones exact requirements.
Comes in an original Katoh deluxe case.
Normally retails for around $2600, this one $1500.
Katoh KSC Classical Guitar
This guitar is brand new, in perfect condition.
All solid custom Florentine cutaway. Select grade solid spruce top, premium solid rosewood back and sides, exquisite rosette, Ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, premium quality machine heads, traditional gloss finish. Fishman preamp.
The width across the strings at the nut is 43mm. The width of the nut is 50mm.
Absolutely beautiful guitar.
Comes in a hard case.
Normally retails for $2595, this one $1300.
Katoh Alex/CS Classical Guitar
This guitar is brand new, but a second. It has a very small scratch on the back. I have been unable to photograph this. It is very small and only noticable if looking very carefully.
Custom 19th century style guitar, Solid Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides and neck, rosewood fingerboard, "moustache" bridge, wood rosette, flamed maple headstock veneer, deluxe gold plated machine heads, traditional gloss finish.
This guitar does not come in a case, and is still packed in it's original cardboard box.
Interesting instrument. It does not have the big sound, and especially the bottom end response of a modern size classical, but it has a subtle transparency that is very easy and pleasant to listen to. Could be a very good instrument for recording.
Normally retails for $995, this one $550.
Katoh MSCC14R Nylon string Guitar
This guitar is brand new, and in perfect condition.
Spruce top, rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, Gloss finish.
Interesting guitar, not really a classical guitar at all. It's a thin line nylon string, with great resistance to feedback that works pretty well acoustically. Sounds very nice amplified. Unlike the traditional classical neck, it has a radiused fingerboard. It certainly suits the Latin jazz player, or anyone looking to amplify a nylon string sound without the traditional wide and flat classical neck. It sits very comfortably, is nice and light and so easy to play if your doing jazz like arrangements etc.
This one has a B-Band pickup and electronics. The electronics on these guitars have varied over the past few years, and the later ones seem to have the B-Band instead of the Fishman setup seen on earlier ones.
Normally retails for $1895, this one $890.
Comes in it's original deluxe Katoh case.
Classical Guitar Rest, made by Wolf
Having used one of these for a few years now I just had to add it to my web site.
This rest is ideal for someone wanting an alternative to the footstool, when playing classical guitar. It allows both feet
to be on the floor at the same level, so does not angle the lower back and potentially cause problems there.
This rest is particularly useful for taller guitar players, as the guitar needs to be raised even more. I
have always found the need to extend footstools to the maximum, and still tend to bend forward over the guitar.
