Cort MR-C Custom Shop Semi Acoustic Guitar
This has been my own guitar for some years, but never really play it so it's time to move it on. Has probably been played for around 1 hour in it's life. I purchased this guitar as a second. It has a small split in the side, on the back where the output socket is located, as shown in the photo, as well as a repair to a small split in the neck near the nut. This latter repair will have been done at the factory when it was made. The actual repair is a bit rough, but the finish over it is supurb. I know this would have been done at the factory because this guitar I purchased direct from the importers of Cort at the time, and they never bothered repairing these sort of things. These issues are very stable, and have never changed in the years I have had it. I have tried to photograph it in such a way as to make the split as onbvious as possible. Not quite that obvious in the flesh.
Features master grade Engelman solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, dovetailed neck joint, ebony fingerboard, scoop bridge, pearl eye bridge pins, flamed maple binding on body, neck and headstock, inlaid abalone soundhole rosette, bone nut and saddle, gold plated Grover Super Rotamatic machine heads, Fishman Prefix Plus-T preamp and matrix pickup. This guitar has been set up by Sashar Amos, from Sasher Amos Guitars. The volume of the strings through an amplifier was sorted out, as this had changed over time, and a complete setup and checkup was carried out. It now plays supurbly.
It comes in it's original Custom case. This is the older model preamp that does not have the inbuilt tuner.
Supurb sounding guitar. From the original Custom Shop in Korea. It needs to be played to start openening up.
Price: $1200. These were around $2000 when available some 10 years ago.
Cort MR730FX/12 Semi Acoustic 12 String Guitar
This has been my own guitar for some years, but never really play it so it's time to move it on. Has probably been played for around 1 hour in it's life. It is in perfect as new condition. Not a mark on it.
Features Solid A grade spruce top, scalloped bracing, solid mahogany back, mahogany sides and back, dovetailed neck joint, bound rosewood fingerboard, rosewood scoop bridge, abalone inlaid soundhole, chrome plated Grover machine heads, gloss natural finish.
It comes in a good quality hard case. Fitted with a Fishman Prefix Plus-T preamp and matrix pickup.
This is an older model, made in Korea, before production all went to China.
Windsor Model 1 Banjo Mandolin
Old English made Banjo Mandolin from 1920's I think. It in reasonable condition. Has some scratches on the back as shown. It plays OK. The tuning pegs are original and still work fine, but are a bit sloppy. Has 22 tuning lugs, which is a lot more than I have seen on other Windsor instruments. Tail piece has "The Pyxe" engraved.
This was given to me years ago, and had a torn vellum head at the time. This I have replaced. I never play it, so, no point in keeping it.
Comes in its original case, which is still serviceable, but, well, its old.
