Note*: Martha Sibree Martha was also known as Pattie from the photo album. She went to a boarding school in Leicestershire. She married William Taylor of Driffield. Her father is reported to have visited the Congregational Church in Driffield. It is in the same street as the Mechnics Institute, where William and her brother must have been a members. Martha was staying with her brother for the 1871 census in Driffield. He had an engineering business at the canal head. He would have done work for the sewing machines of William Taylor. William and Martha were to be married 2 years later in Salem Chapel, by her father.

He had been a teacher at the Congregational Church for 22 years. Presumably the school was in the Manse or a buling in the church grounds. It is now a private house.³
